The government to Gorgas though the nightmare was over. Last months sustained bombing campaign cleared all but the most diehard fighters out of South Ostremek. Denovia troops have all but left the area, though you still hear rumors of spetnaz troops roaming around.
That was until this morning when Denovia announced to the world that it will take any incursion into Zabzimek as an act of war and placed a no-fly zone around the region. Then further increased the threat by positioning a large force of troops right outside the boarder, near the Gorgan capital of Triblisi.
This provocation couldn’t come at a worse time for the world’s international relations. Gorgas has just been given provisional membership into NATO. Which means underneath the NATO charter if Denovia decides to attack Gorgon sovereign territory the alliance will be forced to attack Denovia. The Gorgas Ministry of Defense stated today, “while we are taking Denovias threat very seriously, we do not think they will be as insane as to call down the wrath of NATO.”
Right now the ball is in NATO’s corner, we have yet to receive any official statement from the on scene commander of the 332nd Expeditionary Force, that is currently deployed to the area on behalf of NATO, if they will comply with Denovias no fly zone, over what most nations of the world consideres a legal and rogue state that belongs to the people of Gorgas.
